Volstead Act

The Volstead Act takes its name from the 1919 law that kicked off Prohibition. Almost a century later, with the 18th amendment thankfully repealed, this downtown bar takes serves up craft cocktails in a contemporary-speakeasy setting. Try one of the signature drinks, like the The bar’s signature drinks ($9), like the Kentucky Fields, with bourbon, cynar (a liqueur made from artichokes), lemon juice and strawberries. (Oct. 2013)
