Hangouts

Off-Campus: With all its classrooms moved to Riverpoint now, WSU-Spokane students are more focused on the east end of downtown. Options nearby include Chili's, Fast Eddies, Kino Coffee and Aracelia's Mexican restaurant, both in the Schade Brewery.

On-Campus: Students usually take a break in the student lounge, equipped with couches, television and vending machines.

Events

To kick off the school year, there is an ASWSU all-campus barbecue on Friday, Aug. 30, at noon at the Riverpoint Phase I building. More events will be planned by the students after they return to class.

New in 2002

The Health Sciences Building opened its doors for classes in January this year. JoAnn Thompson, associate dean and professor of interior design, was awarded the International Interior Design Association's 4th annual Michael Tatum Educator of the Year Award.
